PITCHER
Madison Bumgarner, SF vs. COL ($11,700): From a brief glance at Tuesday's slate, it is easy to see how one lands on Bumgarner. Vegas has this game as the lowest over/under of the night (6.5 runs) and the Giants as the heaviest favorites coming in around -225. The Rockies' numbers against lefties this season have been lacking with a 25th-ranked wRC+ of 86 and 24th-ranked 23.6 percent K rate. Bumgarner is coming off a solid June with a 3.48 xFIP and 27.0 percent K rate.
CATCHER
Welington Castillo, ARI vs. SD ($4,600): Southpaw Christian Friedrich has struggled greatly against right-handers this season with a 5.29 xFIP. Though not the only lefty-masher on the Diamondbacks, Castillo may make the most compelling argument as he pairs his already impressive 192 wRC+ with a .338 ISO.
FIRST BASE
Paul Goldschmidt, ARI vs. SDC ($5,400): The top of the pricing curve for first base is very fruitful. Already sold on the Diamondbacks' righties against Friedrich, Goldschmidt falls swimmingly within that category, as he has a 186 wRC+ against left-handed pitching this season.
SECOND BASE
Ryan Schimpf, SD at ARI ($2,600): Schimpf hasn't been able to duplicate the 201 wRC+ he had at Triple-A, but a .194 BABIP given his batted ball profile indicates that his initially underwhelming 86 wRC+ is likely not indicative of how he has actually been hitting, as he has a respectable 40.6 percent hard hit rate and 46.9 percent medium hit rate. Schimpf hit 15 home runs in 51 minor league games this season, a power stroke that could prove valuable in a favorable matchup against a young righty in a hitter's ballpark.
THIRD BASE
Evan Longoria, TB vs. LAA ($3,600): The sample size from the last two seasons is a tad shaky, but Tim Lincecum has shown reversed splits, struggling mightily against fellow righties. His short stint in the majors this season has yielded a .514 wOBA and 7.58 xFIP allowed to right-handed batters. Longoria is not just the Rays' best right-handed hitter but also their best hitter on the season with a .345 wOBA and a power resurgence with 18 home runs.
SHORTSTOP
Asdrubal Cabrera, NYM vs. MIA ($3,600): Cabrera has a 129 wRC+ against lefties this season. The options at shortstop at a reasonable price are shallow, and Cabrera brings a competent bat into a good matchup with a good placement in the batting order.
OUTFIELD
Michael Saunders, TOR vs. KC ($4,300):Chris Young has really struggled against lefty bats this season with a 6.77 xFIP masking incredibly bad stats with a .527 wOBA allowed and 5.87 HR/9. Meanwhile, Saunders is having a career year with a .254 ISO (15 home runs) and a wRC+ of 140.
Yasmany Tomas, ARI vs. SD ($4,700): Not quite as glaring as 'Beef' Castillo, but Tomas has put up some spectacular numbers against southpaws this season, pairing a 168 wRC+ with a powerful .324 ISO.
Rickie Weeks Jr., ARI vs. SD ($3,700): Activated from the bereavement list Sunday, Weeks will look to make his first start in July against Friedrich. At a considerable discount compared to his fellow Diamondbacks, Weeks has an impressive 151 wRC+ and .281 ISO against lefties this season.
