DraftKings MLB: Tuesday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings MLB series.

PITCHER

Tyler Chatwood, COL at PIT ($7,700): Dating back to 2016, Chatwood sports a 1.99 ERA and has held opponents to a .575 OPS and .257 wOBA through 126.1 innings on the road. It's an impressive stretch, and because his Coors Field numbers inflate his overall statistics, there is a chance Chatwood flies under the radar. His salary is manageable, and Pittsburgh enters with an underwhelming.313 wOBA against right-handed hurlers.

Joe Ross, WAS vs. ATL ($7,200): Atlanta enters the game with a 21st-ranked .315 wOBA against right-handed pitchers, and Ross is coming off the best outing of his career. At this salary, Ross' upside is worth targeting after he flashed it last Thursday with a 12-strikeout gem. He sports a rock-solid 24.6 strikeout percentage this season, too.

CATCHER

Brian McCann, HOU vs. TEX ($4,400): The backstop sports an active 9-for-21 stretch with three home runs and a .476 on-base percentage and owns a respectable .332 wOBA and 37.4 hard-hit percentage against righties since 2016. The matchup jumps off the page with Nick Martinez allowing a .391 wOBA to left-handed hitters during the same timeframe.

FIRST BASE

Adam Lind, WAS vs. ATL ($3,700): There is a threat Ryan Zimmerman (back) returns to the lineup Tuesday, but Lind stands as a strong option at a great price if Zimmerman is out. Lind has posted .414 on-base percentage and .431 wOBA against righties this season. R.A. Dickey is coming off his best start of the season, too, so it's a ripe letdown spot. The knuckleballer has also surrendered a .346 wOBA to left-handed hitters this year.

SECOND BASE

Robinson Cano, SEA at MIN ($4,400): Dating back to last season, Cano owns a .298 ISO and .389 wOBA against righties, and Kyle Gibson has allowed a .383 wOBA to left-handed hitters during the same timeframe. Cano is also locked into the heart of the lineup and carries a manageable salary.

THIRD BASE

Miguel Sano, MIN vs. SEA ($4,800): While facing Christian Bergman isn't the traditional handedness advantage for Sano, the third baseman sports a .283 ISO and .404 wOBA against right-handed pitchers this year. Bergman has also surrendered a .404 wOBA and 2.2 HR/9 to righty bats daring back to 2016.

SHORTSTOP

Corey Seager, LAD at CLE ($4,200):Trevor Bauer has surrendered a .380 wOBA and 2.3 HR/9 to left-handed hitters this season, so this is a nice setup for Seager. The price is also low considering his .396 on-base percentage and .396 wOBA against righties since entering the league.

OUTFIELD

Bryce Harper, WAS vs. ATL ($5,300): As noted, R.A. Dickey should have problems with the Washington lineup, and Harper's been nearly unstoppable against righties this year. The salary isn't prohibitive enough to ignore his 1.136 OPS, .371 ISO and .454 wOBA.

Lorenzo Cain, KC at SFG ($4,400): It's been a disappointing campaign for Cain, and his .288 wOBA against southpaws is a far cry from the .418 mark he posted in 2016. Cain blasted two home runs Saturday and has a 47.4 hard-hit percentage over the past two weeks, so he's a contrarian flier with potential statistical correction ahead.

Trey Mancini, BAL at CHW ($3,300):Derek Holland has allowed a .381 wOBA and 44.4 hard-hit percentage to right-handed hitters this season, and Mancini boasts a target-worthy .379 wOBA against lefties. He's also hit second the last time Baltimore faced a southpaw.
