Pitcher
Max Scherzer, WAS vs. NYM ($11,800): Scherzer has been spectacular with a 2.73 xFIP and 37.5 percent K-rate in June. The Mets have absorbed some injuries and are left with very underwhelming lineup. Over the past week, the Mets have the league's second-worst wRC+, sitting an 73.
Brock Stewart, LAD at MIL ($6,000): For nearly half the prize of Scherzer, Stewart may merit consideration in his MLB debut. During his tminor league career he's managed a K/9 of 10.0 while his ERA this season (spread across High-A, Double-A and Triple-A) sits at 1.47. He might be limited to just 85-95 pitches judging from his minor league starts, but nonetheless could well surpass value on that pitch count against the majors' most strikeout-prone team in the Brewers.
Catcher
Stephen Vogt, OAK vs. SF ($2,900): Vogt has begun to return to his form from last season with his June wRC+ sitting at 125. His career wRC+ is nearly forty points higher against righties than lefties. Last season against righties his wRC+ 128. Jake Peavy has permitted an eyesore 5.87 xFIP this season.
First Base
Mark Teixeira, NYY vs. TEX ($3,000): After an abysmal start to the season, Tex's wRC+ is 192 with two home runs four games into his return from injury (in retrospect, an injury that likely had been bothering and hampering his performance all year). Opposing pitcher Nick Martinez wins the gas can of the night award with a 6.59 xFIP in four MLB appearances this season. His career number actually sits at a (wait no, still bad) 5.19.
Second Base
Matt Carpenter, STL vs. KC ($3,900): Carpenter is having a career year. His wRC+ against righties this season is 183, but possibly even more eye opening is his .329 ISO. Carpenter, at thirty years old, is adapting some power into his game. Edinson Volquez allowed 12 runs (11 earned) in one inning of pitching in his last start. He only allowed a comparatively reasonable five runs in his start prior to that one, though.
Third Base
Jung Ho Kang, PIT at SEA ($3,300): Kang has been among the lone consistent forces offensively for the Pirates of late. His career wRC+ now sits at 131 with 169 MLB games played. Kang faces southpaw Wade Miley, who's experiencing the worst stint in his MLB career with a seasonal xFIP sitting at 4.51, a HR/9 of 1.53 (despite pitching in Safeco Field) and an ERA of 5.28.
Shortstop
Corey Seager, LAD at MIL ($3,600): As the season progresses, so do Seager's hitting stats. He owns a wRC+ of 150 against righties while June has lead to a wRC+ of 184 and ISO over .300. Junior Guerra's xFIP against left-handed batters sits at 4.63.
Outfield
Brett Gardner, NYY vs. TEX ($3,600): Keeping in mind just how bad Martinez has been, Gardner possesses a wRC+ of 126 against righties on the season and is capping off a June where he posted a respectable 124 RC+ against both righties and lefties.
Josh Reddick, OAK vs. SF ($3,000): This is just Reddick's second game back after missing over a month due to injury, so you can capitalize on his price while it's still deflated. On the season, Reddick has mashed right-handed pitching to the tune of a 159 wRC+. As mentioned earlier, Peavy has appeared vulnerable against lefties this season.
Joc Pederson, LAD at MIL ($3,000): Pederson has hit well against righties this season with a 126 wRC+ and the home run friendly confines of Miller Park should help promote his solid ISO of .240.
