Brebbia has worked as middle reliever, opener and setup man throughout his career, but 2024 may open up the possibility for save opportunities after the 33-year-old signed a one-year deal with the White Sox. The right-hander is coming off a solid campaign during which he posted a career-best 29.2 strikeout rate, but he was limited to 38.1 innings due to a lat injury. Unfortunately, a calf strain has slowed Brebbia in White Sox camp and there's a chance he opens 2024 on the injured list. A clearer timeline should emerge as camp progresses, but whenever Brebbia is cleared he should be in the mix to close games for Chicago. With the team moving on from Liam Hendrkis (free agency), Gregory Santos (trade) and Aaron Bummer (trade), Brebbia stands as one of the most experienced relievers in this clubhouse. Read Past Outlooks
