Rest-of-Season Projections
Shipped to Milwaukee
The Athletics traded Patrick to the Brewers on Wednesday in exchange for Abraham Toro, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Patrick spent time at Double-A and Triple-A in 2023, posting a 5.59 ERA and 1.61 WHIP across 124 innings between the two levels. His numbers could improve next season as he leaves the hitter-friendly environment out west. The 25-year-old righty will likely serve as organizational depth for his new club.

Promotion on horizon?
Manager Pat Murphy said Wednesday that the organization has considered calling up Patrick given the Brewers' rotation injuries, reports Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander was acquired from the Athletics in November and has pitched well at Triple-A Nashville this season with a 2.87 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 52:20 K:BB over 53.1 innings. Milwaukee currently has four healthy starters -- including Aaron Ashby, who was called up to start Wednesday in Philadelphia -- so Patrick is in a strong position to potentially make his MLB debut this summer.
