2024 Fantasy Outlook
Estes was traded to Oakland in the Matt Olson trade before the 2022 season, and he's gone from 16th round pick back in 2019 to a player that made two starts for the A's in 2023 that has a chance to win a spot in the A's rotation to start 2024. The 22-year-old can get his fastball up to 96 mph, and he complements that heater with a slider that gets above-average grades along with a change that continues to make progress. He generally throws strikes with all three pitches, but his command is slightly behind his control. Estes is a name to monitor in the coming years in dynasty leagues, but there's very little chance of him being a viable fantasy option in 2024 even if he does earn a starting gig. Read Past Outlooks
