Rest-of-Season Projections
Dealt to Philly
The Phillies acquired Banks from the White Sox on Tuesday in exchange for infielder William Bergolla, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Through 48 innings out of the White Sox bullpen this season, Banks has posted a 4.13 ERA and 1.29 WHIP. Chicago's lack of quality relief options has forced him to work often in high-leverage situations this season, though it's likely Banks moves into a middle-relief role upon joining a more talented Phillies bullpen.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
May be moved
Banks is a candidate to be traded by the White Sox ahead of Tuesday's deadline, reports Jeff Passan of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Banks has been unable to replicate the 3.06 ERA he posted as a rookie in 2022, but he's still been a solid reliever for Chicago over the past two seasons. The left-hander has a 4.24 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 52:15 K:BB across 46.2 innings this season, but a 3.29 xERA and 3.50 xFIP indicate he may deserve some better results. Banks isn't eligible for his first year of arbitration until 2026, but the White Sox likely won't have any major qualms about dealing a 32-year-old bullpen arm with multiple years of team control.
