ANALYSIS
Harris is a fascinating prospect, as he is already 25 years old yet logged a 1.81 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 105 strikeouts in 79.2 innings this season, primarily at Single-A and High-A. He pitched three years for High Point in the Big South, but his junior year was cut short due to Tommy John surgery in 2021. He transferred to Division II UNC Pembroke and went undrafted in 2023. The Giants signed him for $10,000 shortly following the draft after Harris impressed pitching in the Coastal Plain League. He has legitimate stuff, operating with a mid-90s fastball with good movement and a couple quality breaking balls, and thus far he's shown solid command as well. Harris threw 113 total innings in 2023, so he easily could have logged more innings this year, but the Giants limited him to no more than four innings per start, and he completed fewer than three innings in 28 of his 36 outings.
