Rest-of-Season Projections
2024 Fantasy Outlook
It seems impossible that Robles is still only 26, but it's true. It's been nothing but disappointment for the former top prospect since his promising rookie season back in 2019. Injury was the main culprit last season, as Robles was limited to just 36 games with the Nationals because of lumbar spine spasms. His last game came in late June, but Robles did return to play winter ball and at the moment expects to be healthy heading into next season. He was productive in 2023 when healthy, collecting a .750 OPS, stealing eight bases and cutting his strikeout rate to 14.3 percent over 126 plate appearances. Robles should get the first crack in center field for the Nats and perhaps he'll be motivated in his walk year, but it's difficult to justify even a small investment in him in fantasy leagues. Exits early Sunday
Robles (undisclosed) exited Sunday's contest against the Rangers in the seventh inning, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Robles picked up a leg injury in the fourth inning while trying to beat out a groundout, ultimately staying in the game until the seventh frame. The outfielder notched his third hit of the day, an RBI single, before exiting the contest. Robles will finish Sunday 3-for-4 with the RBI, and more information on his status will likely be provided in the near future.

Robles rose through the minors with plenty of prospect pedigree, is still just 25 years old and plays good defense in center field. If you're looking for reasons to still be in on the young outfielder, that's a pretty good place to start. Unfortunately, that's also pretty much where the list ends. His 224/.273/.311 line last season was good for a 64 wRC+, marking the third straight year he's been in the sixties in that category. Nothing under the hood suggests he deserves much better; if anything, his .203 xBA suggests he may have overachieved. His plate discipline (25.6 K%, 4.2 BB%) was terrible, and when he did make contact, his hard-hit rate sat in the first percentile. Robles shouldn't have too much competition for playing time on a rebuilding Nationals team, so his playing time and decent speed could make him appealing in deeper formats, though that assumes Washington is still committed to a player who's produced 0.0 fWAR across the last three campaigns.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Off to strong start
Robles is slashing a productive .306/.393/.347 through 59 plate appearances. He's started all 16 of Washington's games thus far.
ANALYSIS
Robles' numbers represent a major bounce back. Since the COVID-shortened 2020 season, Robles has supplied a lowly .216/.291/.306 slash. He's re-invented in 2023, boasting a career-low 13.6 strikeout rate and a career-high 10.2 walk rate. Robles still isn't making hard contact, but he's stolen three bases and has been been racking up hits as well. He's still just 25-years-old.
