2024 Fantasy Outlook
The recipient of a $1.5 million bonus out of the Dominican Republic during the 2023 international signing period, Rodriguez showed off across-the-board skills while impressing as a 17-year-old in the Dominican Summer League. He was unlucky (.289 BABIP against poor defenders) but still slashed .253/.393/.449 with six home runs, 12 steals and more walks (41) than strikeouts (40) in 52 games. While many top DSL prospects have an intriguing combination of power and speed, Rodriguez's strong swing decisions and contact ability stand out. The Brewers have not been shy about sending their recent top international prospects to Single-A, bypassing the Arizona Complex League, and Rodriguez could follow that path. Read Past Outlooks

ANALYSIS
With the Single-A season in the books, Rodriguez joined the Timber Rattlers for the Midwest League playoffs. Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Game 2 of the Midwest League Championship Series on Tuesday, and Wisconsin will look to close things out in Game 3 against Lake County on Wednesday. Rodriguez didn't create much of a stir in dynasty leagues with his .250/.343/.383 slash line, seven home runs and seven steals in 110 games for Carolina, but it was good for a 117 wRC+ (100 is league average) and he doesn't turn 19 until December. He may not have a standout tool yet, but the lefty-hitting outfielder seems to be decent at everything and he is well ahead of most of his peers.
