FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Picks

FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Picks

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Malcolm Brogdon, MIL vs NYK ($4,600) – Brogdon is coming off a 31.2 fantasy-point effort against these Knicks and is almost a lock for 5X value if Matthew Dellavedova is ruled out once again. Brogdon has played at least 32 minutes in every game with Delly out and is averaging 29.2 fantasy points (6.3X) over those four contests. Derrick Rose has never been known for his defense and Brogdon is capable of racking up both rebounds and assists.

Raymond Felton, LAC at SAC ($4,600) – First, never at any point in September did I
think I'd be writing about Felton this year. Both Felton and teammate Austin Rivers ($4,600) are in play tonight given their price, as well as the fact that Chris Paul is listed as doubtful. Both have logged heavy minutes over their last few games without Paul and should do so tonight. I feel like Felton might be a little safer, as he'll be handling the point more and accruing additional peripheral fantasy points rather than relying on the scoring that Rivers does.

J.J. Redick, LAC at SAC ($4,400) – Redick has returned to the lineup and received something he hasn't all season: minutes. He's logged 34 and 37 minutes over the last two games and knows his job out there is to put up shots. The Kings are giving up the ninth most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards and without Paul and Blake Griffin there are plenty of shots to go around.

Josh Richardson, MIA at LAL ($5,700) – Richardson has been logging heavy minutes and it appears that won't change going forward. This is a good matchup against the Lakers, who will be playing on the second night of a back-to-back. Spoiler: this won't be the only player on the Heat you might want to target and Goran Dragic ($7,100) is in play as well.

Brandon Ingram, LAL vs MIA ($3,800) – The revenge narrative could help Luol Deng get back onto the court tonight, but if he doesn't, Ingram is a great punt play. He logged 37 minutes Thursday, parlaying that into 17.3 fantasy points. While that doesn't sound like a lot of production, it still works out to 4.5X his value at this price. There's a much higher ceiling here than 17.3 (he had 32.5 against Cleveland a couple of weeks ago), so he's in play as long as Deng remains out tonight.

Gorgui Dieng, MIN at WAS ($5,800) – Dieng is a very safe play in cash games, as he's shown consistency with 23.3 fantasy points in eight of his last nine. The Wizards play an uptempo game and have given up the ninth most fantasy points to opposing power forwards this season. Dieng's minutes are up as well, as he's played at least 34 in seven of the last nine while breaking the 40-minute mark three times in that span.

Willie Reed, MIA vs LAL ($4,100) – Hopefully his semi-dud the other night will have most owners off him Friday. Reed got into foul trouble early against DeMarcus Cousins and still managed 14.6 fantasy points against him. Against Timofey Mozgov and the Lakers, that should be his floor tonight and his 51.6 fantasy-point game two games ago shows the type of upside he has without Hassan Whiteside in the rotation. It doesn't hurt that the Heat have had a couple of days to rest while the Lakers are on the second night of a back-to-back, also.

Greg Monroe, MIL vs NYK ($5,500) – Ignoring an underwhelming performance in Minnesota, Monroe has been fantastic in his last six games, averaging over 30 fantasy points per contest. Like Brogdon, he just had a nice game against these Knicks (39.8 fantasy points) and now gets the added benefit of playing them at home in Wisconsin. Even though he doesn't usually start, Monroe has been feasting off opposing second units while playing more than half the game.
