FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Brandon Jennings, NYK vs MIN ($4,100) – Jennings has been a nice spark off the bench and, considering the price and his recent production, can be a nightly GPP consideration. He's scored 19.3, 24.9 28.1, 28.2 and 38 fantasy points in five of his last seven games, delivering more than 5X his value. Helping his fantasy prospects for tonight is that Courtney Lee is likely to miss the game due to injury. Even if Jennings doesn't start, he'll see an uptick in his normal minutes similar to last game (34 minutes due to Lee's injury).

Rajon Rondo, CHI vs CLE ($5,900) – Since returning from an ankle injury, Rondo has been a great value in making 5X his price in all five of games. He's done that in vintage form, racking up assists and rebounds rather than scoring prolifically. Kyrie Irving and the Cavs are giving up the fourth most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season, as well, making this a nice matchup for Rondo.

Evan Fournier, ORL at PHI ($5,800) – The Magic recently changed up their rotation and put D.J. Augustin in to start alongside Fournier. This has worked out nicely for Fournier, who has turned into more of a playmaker and started putting up solid numbers in the assist category. For the second straight season he's averaging over 34 minutes per game, and the road matchup against the 76ers is nothing to worry about, so Fournier isn't in jeopardy of losing many

This has worked out nicely for Fournier, who has turned into more of a playmaker and started putting up solid numbers in the assist category. For the second straight season he's averaging over 34 minutes per game, and the road matchup against the 76ers is nothing to worry about, so Fournier isn't in jeopardy of losing many minutes despite playing in the second of back-to-back games.

Brandon Ingram, LAL at TOR ($4,000) – The injury to Nick Young put Ingram in the starting lineup last game and while the results weren't great (21.1 fantasy points), he played 41 minutes, which is notable since no Laker usually receives more than 30 per game. Ingram's ability to fill up the stat sheet is what makes him an attractive option, and if he can hit nearly half his shots from the field, he has the upside to approach 30 fantasy points.

Tobias Harris, DET at ATL ($5,900) – This pick is merely a case of playing the hot hand as Harris has 34.2, 39.4 and 32.3 fantasy points over his last three games. He's gotten a lot of playing time this season and has improved both his shooting from the field (48.7%) and the free throw line (91.7%). The matchup for Harris would improve if Paul Millsap misses another game with a hip issue.

Andrew Wiggins, MIN at NYK ($6,000) – This is one of Wiggins' lowest prices of the season, as he usually comes in around the $7K mark. Wiggins has averaged over 30 fantasy points this year and just scored 34.4 against these same Knicks on Wednesday. The Knicks make for an above-average matchup for small forwards and Wiggins can be counted on to play somewhere around 40 minutes in Madison Square Garden on Friday.

Jonas Valanciunas, TOR vs LAL ($5,800) – Valanciunas often gets lost in the shuffle from a fantasy standpoint playing with Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan. His numbers have been up almost across the board this season and the key is that he's averaging three more minutes per game than a season ago. Furthermore, the Lakers have been the second worst team against centers over the last 10 games.

Joel Embiid, PHI vs ORL ($6,200) – There's a few different reasons to back Embiid tonight outside of the fact that he's averaging 31.5 fantasy points per game. It was announced that his minutes restriction has been bumped from 24 to 28, and tonight's matchup is solid since he's facing a Magic team that's on the second night of a back-to-back and on the road. He's also scored at least 30 fantasy points in each of his last four games, making for a nice floor.
