Saturday's slate features seven games with a lot of teams playing the second half of a back-to-back set. There are a couple players out there that have price tags below their value that you can use to your advantage.
Saturday's Value Plays
Point Guard
Goran Dragic, MIA, $6,200: Dragic appears to be finding a rhythm with the Heat after being acquired at the trade deadline. He had 20 points in 35 minutes Friday to go with five assists and three rebounds. The matchup with Atlanta isn't ideal at first glance, but the Hawks are allowing the eighth most FanDuel points to opposing point guards over their last 10 games. Dragic is a good candidate to provide a solid return for $6,200.
Reggie Jackson, DET, $6,100: Jackson had a brutal shooting night Friday, going 5-for-24 against the Knicks. He still cobbled together 25.5 FanDuel points, however. Jackson is a better shooter than his sub-20-percent outing Friday, and it's clear that he is going to put up a lot of shots as the Pistons' starting point guard. His price is likely to keep going up, so he's a good play at just over $6K.
Shooting Guard
Kentavious Caldwell Pope, DET, $5,100: Caldwell-Pope has been lighting it up since the All-Star break, putting up at least 27.9 FanDuel points in three of his last four games. He's been getting a ton of shots of late, averaging 15.4 field goal attempts over his last five games. His field goal percentage leaves a little to be desired overall, but he has started hitting his shots with more regularity (47 percent over the last five games). With Washington floundering, Caldwell-Pope is a good bet to keep up his production Saturday.
Markel Brown, BKN, $3,900: Brown's salary for his production has been paying off for fantasy owners lately. He has carved out a solid role since the break where he has reached at least 30 minutes on the floor three times. If Brown is in the starting lineup again Saturday, he's a good candidate to outperform his $3,900 salary.
Small Forward
Richard Jefferson, DAL, $3,500: Jefferson's best days may be in the rearview mirror, but Chandler Parsons' absence has given him a solid boost from a fantasy perspective. Jefferson is by no means a lock for big numbers despite his presence in the starting lineup, but he has reached double-digit scoring in three straight games. That said, Jefferson's minimum salary, combined with his current role, makes him a great value play Saturday that will give you the flexibility to bolster your lineup at other positions.
Power Forward
Andrea Bargnani, NYK, $4,000: Bargnani has slowly carved out a bigger role in the rotation since returning from a calf injury that sidelined him for over a month. He responded well to being moved into the starting lineup Friday to the tune of 25 points and 12 boards over 36 minutes. Bargnani has logged at least 20 minutes and scored at least 11 points in every game since the All-Star break. Assuming he makes another start Saturday, he's a good candidate to outperform his $4,000 price tag.
Center
Tyson Chandler, DAL, $6,100: This writeup hinges entirely on Chandler being able to play Saturday against Brooklyn. He injured his hip late in Tuesday's win over Toronto and was sidelined for Wednesday's game in Atlanta. If Chandler is able to give it a go(he's reportedly a game-time decision as of Saturday afternoon), he's a good bet to put up double-digit rebounds and mix in some scoring. At $6,100, Chandler is a steal if he starts.
Alex Len, PHO, $5,100: Len has two double-doubles in his last three outings and has pulled down double-digit rebounds in five straight games. He has a relatively low ceiling as far as scoring is concerned, but his rebounding and shot blocking give him a higher floor overall. Len's matchup against the Spurs isn't ideal, as they are the sixth stingiest team against opposing centers over the last five games according to FanDuel metrics, but his owner-friendly price tag helps you stack your lineup elsewhere.
