This week's slate is absolutely loaded and features 10 games, with the first two matchups scheduled to tip off at 7:00 pm Eastern time. There are a few notable matchups to attack, such as the Celtics on the road against the Cavs, the Spurs against the Hornets and the Raptors set to host the Bulls. As always, FanDuel will drop the player in your lineup with the lowest score, so do with that what you will.
Before diving into our value plays for this week, let's go over the big names on the injury report for Tuesday night, which is quite extensive with 20 teams in action.
Kyrie Irving is out for rest purposes, opening the door for Terry Rozier to start against a weak Cavs defense. Jayson Tatum (back) and Al Horford (knee) are both expected to be back on the floor for Boston, but official word may not come until close to tip-off.
Nicolas Batum has missed the last two contests due to illness and is questionable for Tuesday's matchup with San Antonio, meaning Jeremy Lamb could draw another start at shooting guard if Batum remains on the shelf, which appears increasingly likely.
Justise Winslow is on the mend from a thigh injury, and on top of that, he's dealing with food poisoning, making him a game-time call Tuesday. Dion Waiters would be in line for the start at point guard if Winslow can't go.
The Bulls are in shambles at the moment and will be without Zach LaVine (thigh) and Otto Porter (shoulder), while Kris Dunn (back) is doubtful. Shaquille Harrison can be targeted at small forward and Antonio Blakeney will be an affordable option at shooting guard with at least two of Chicago's starting five ruled out for sure. Assuming Dunn is ultimately shelved, Ryan Arcidiacono is a solid bet at point guard.
Anthony Davis (back) is expected to play for the Pelicans against Atlanta, but you'll want to make sure he's a confirmed starter before dropping $7,400 to add him to your lineup. Jrue Holiday (abdomen) remains out of the lineup, meaning Frank Jackson will remain the starting shooting guard Tuesday.
Eric Gordon is the big name to watch for on the Rockets, as he'll be a game-time call due to an ankle sprain. Danuel House and Iman Shumpert would be worth a look if Gordon can't go.
Tony Snell is out with an ankle sprain, making way for Ersan Ilyasova to draw a start at power forward. His scoring has been sporadic at times but he's certainly capable of putting up double digits on the boards and in the scoring department and he's affordable.
Last but not least, the Mavericks are in danger of playing without Luka Doncic, who's nursing a sore left knee. Jalen Brunson and Trey Burke would benefit in the event that Doncic isn't able to take the court.
POINT GUARD
Terry Rozier, BOS at CLE ($6,500): Rozier is expected to enter the starting lineup in place of Kyrie Irving (rest), and he'll have an excellent matchup to do some serious damage. He dropped 26 points and secured eight rebounds along with six assists Jan. 30 in a start against Cleveland, and he definitely has the potential for a repeat performance Tuesday night. To top it off, the Cavs allow the second most FanDuel points to opposing point guards (43.5 ppg).
Collin Sexton, CLE vs. BOS ($6,000): Sexton has been on a tear of late and is averaging 24.7 points along with 2.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds over his previous nine matchups. Boston allows 37.0 FanDuel points given up to opposing point guards, and with numerous injuries to their starting lineup, I don't believe they'll be able to extinguish Sexton's hot streak. He's a solid addition to your lineup for $6,000.
SHOOTING GUARD
James Harden, HOU at MIL ($12,000): It's no surprise that Harden is going to be in my lineup, especially after putting up 86.4 FanDuel points in Memphis on Wednesday and 76.9 FanDuel points Friday against San Antonio. He dropped 42 points his last time out against Milwaukee and there's no telling what he'll do this time around. The MVP candidate continues to have one of the best seasons we've seen in a while and is now averaging a career-best 36.4 ppg over 70 contests.
Dwyane Wade, MIA vs. ORL ($5,100): It's truly unbelievable what Wade has been able to do on a nightly basis for the Heat this season off the bench. He's averaging 17.0 points, 5.2 boards and 2.6 assists over his previous five matchups and has shown no signs of slowing down in his last season of NBA action. The Marquette product is set to face a ho-hum opponent in the Magic and is a solid play, checking in with 26.95 FanDuel points per contest this year.
SMALL FORWARD
Rudy Gay, SAN at CHA ($5,500): Gay typically isn't a member of the starting lineup, but he's averaging 25.2 minutes over his previous five games and has done work on the boards and in the scoring column during that stretch. The former first-round pick from the 2006 draft can be snagged for $5,500, which could certainly help with the expensive addition of James Harden to your lineup. I'm also a big fan of the matchup, as the Spurs are slated to take on a Charlotte team that ranks 22nd in defensive rating.
Jabari Parker, WAS at LAL ($6,500): Parker is another guy who doesn't start but consistently provides bench scoring for his team. He's been held in check over his previous two matchups, but I'm rolling the dice on the former Blue Devil against a Laker defense that's been out of sorts. I like his price, I like his athleticism and it doesn't hurt that Los Angeles surrenders 37.8 FanDuel points per contest on average to opposing small forwards. Trevor Ariza (groin) is another Wizard who would be on my list if it weren't for injury. He's missed the previous two matchups but would be a solid value play for a mere $4,800 if given a clean bill of health.
POWER FORWARD
Kyle Kuzma, LAL vs. WAS ($6,500): I'm targeting Kuzma here because I think he's a tad undervalued at $6,500, and he's facing a Washington defense that allows 43.8 FanDuel points per contest to opposing power forwards. It certainly doesn't hurt that he's coming off a stellar outing Sunday against the Kings, finishing with 39.2 FD points. Although the Lakers don't have much to play for, Kuzma has been solid of late and should see plenty of opportunities on a team that's dealing with numerous injuries to key players.
Dario Saric, LAC at MIN ($4,100): I'm grabbing Saric as my other power forward for this slate, mainly because of his price tag, but he's also scored 11 or more points in each of his previous three matchups, good enough for 20-plus FanDuel points. He may end up being your forced-drop of the evening, however, for $4,100 he'll help clear the way for talent elsewhere, especially with both Giannis Antetokounmpo ($12,400) and James Harden ($12,000) in action. Saric will also face a favorable matchup against the Clippers, who generally don't fare well against opposing power forwards (42.5 FD points per game).
CENTER
Marc Gasol, TOR vs. CHI ($6,300): The Bulls are not good at holding opposing centers in check, as they give up 42.1 FanDuel points per game on the year. This bodes well for Gasol, who dropped 40-plus FD points on the Hornets on Sunday. Although he's not exactly a sure thing in the scoring category on a nightly basis, he can be relied upon to contribute across the board and is worth rolling the dice on given the matchup.
