Personal Bio/PreCareer Summary
Brandon Elliot Boston Jr. was born in Norcross, Georgia in November of 2001. The tall shooting guard is the son of Alissa and Brandon Boston Sr. Boston led the Norcross High School basketball team to the state semifinals in his junior season while averaging 18.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.9 steals. He then transferred to Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles. Prior to his senior season, Boston played in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League circuit and averaged 22.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.9 steals. As a senior at Sierra Canyon, he, alongside teammates Bronny James and Zaire Wade, led Sierra Canyon to a 30-4 record and a No. 2 national ranking. He was selected to play in both the 2020 McDonald's All-American Game and the 2020 Jordan Brand Classic. Boston committed to attend the University of Kentucky and averaged 11.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in his freshman season. He decided to forego his remaining collegiate eligibility and declared for the 2021 NBA Draft. Boston was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 51st overall pick, the draft rights of which were traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. He was then assigned to the Clippers' NBA G League affiliate, the Agua Caliente Clippers, in April of 2021 for their G League season opener. Fans can follow Boston on Twitter @bboston_.
Sniffs double-double in loss
FNew Orleans Pelicans
November 16, 2024
Boston recorded 12 points (4-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and a steal across 36 minutes in Saturday's 104-99 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS Boston had a rough shooting performance Saturday and needed 12 shots to score 12 points. Even though Boston finished just two boards away from a double-double, the shooting woes continue to plague him. He's now failed to reach the 15-point mark in three of his last four appearances while shooting 17-for-48 from the field in that stretch.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
Boston flashed some upside during his rookie campaign but never cracked it as a viable fantasy asset. With the Clippers adding a couple of pieces in the offseason, his role moving forward is uncertain. However, his long-term prospects remain pretty positive, and he will likely feature heavily whenever the games shift into garbage time. He is undoubtedly well off the fantasy radar but is a name to watch for anyone in a dynasty format.
Boston was selected by the Clippers with the 51st overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, and he signed a two-year guaranteed contract with the Clippers. The guaranteed portion of the contract, in particular, is notable, as it represents a fairly sizable commitment for a second-round pick like Boston, who lasted until the No. 51 overall selection in the 2021 NBA Draft. Though the 6-foot-7 wing didn't quite live up to the expectations that typically come with being a consensus five-star recruit during his lone collegiate season at Kentucky, the Clippers are high on his long-term upside. He's still unlikely to earn a substantial role at the NBA level as a rookie.
