Powell played 25 minutes and had two points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds and an assist in Tuesday's exhibition win over Memphis.
ANALYSIS
While the production wasn't really there, it's worth noting that Powell's 25 minutes were the fourth-most of any Tar Heel player on Tuesday, and more than fellow five-star freshman Ian Jackson (17 minutes). Both Powell and Jackson came off the bench in this one and likely will do so to start the season, but both have strong upside and should increase their contributions as the season goes on. UNC's first regular season game is on Nov. 4 against Elon.
