Starts at center in exhibition
FNorth Carolina
October 16, 2024
Washington started and had 17 points (6-7 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and two assists in Tuesday's exhibition win over Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Washington got the start at center over Ven Allen Lubin and looked very impressive in 25 minutes of action. UNC certainly has a huge hole to fill this season with Armando Bacot no longer in the fold. Washington appears to running with the starting center role and gives the offense an added element being able to step out and knock down three-pointers. The Tar Heels begin the regular season on Nov. 4 against Elon.
