ANALYSIS
Hunter, who missed the entire 2023-24 season as the result of cardiac issues and an Achilles surgery, will return to a full practice workload in a couple weeks. The 6-foot-8 senior most recently appeared with the Musketeers during the 2022-23 season, averaging 7.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists on 20.9 minutes per game (37 games). Hunter's status will continue to be monitored heading into the season, but this is a great sign for the senior forward.

Hunter (undisclosed) returned to limited practice but is not close to returning to the court anytime soon, Shelby Dermer of Cincinnati.com reports. "Jerome (Hunter) has continued to progress through a rigorous return to play script. He's cleared several major hurdles, one of which occurred today with a return to practice in limited capacity," Xavier athletics said in a statement. "He still has a way to go before returning to the court in a game setting, but given where he was six months ago, every milestone is worth celebrating."
