Waters has yet to play a game this season for the Aztecs after suffering a stress fracture in his right foot in the off-season, and while initial estimates indicated a six-to-eight week absence, the 6-foot-6 senior apparently has no definitive return date in sight. Waters was an impact player for San Diego State last season after transferring in from USC, averaging 9.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game for the Aztecs. Waters and the SDSU coaching staff will hope for positive news following his upcoming tests, though a timely return continues to seem unlikely.
