Breakout candidate for 2024-25

July 24, 2024
Wilcher is a breakout candidate for the NCAA's 2024-25 season, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
ANALYSIS
Currently, the Red Storm's 2024-25 season is expected to include Deivon Smith and Kadary Richmond as its primary backcourt. However, they will need a main backup, and that is where Wilcher makes his entry. Despite averaging fewer than 10 minutes across his seven games played since February, he logged 50 points while shooting 50 percent from the field and 54.5 percent from three. Considering the Red Storm do not have a pecking order in backcourt depth, additional time for Wilcher is definitely possible and means more opportunities to potentially excel shooting-wise.
