Rankin impressively helmed the Elks' ground attack on the night, usurping Javon Leake as the lead runner by recording a career high in rushing yardage and touchdowns. Rankin crossed the goal line from four, two and three yards out, and he also recorded a 40-yard run. Rankin had already been seeing his profile increase over the prior two games, and although Leake also scored a rushing TD on Saturday, he was limited to just five carries. Consequently, it could be Rankin operating as the lead back in a Week 12 road matchup against the Alouettes.
