2023 Fantasy Outlook
Williams was a highly touted receiver in the class of 2022 that could’ve played for just about any school he wanted. After an unproductive freshman year at USC, however, in which he logged just four catches for 34 yards, Williams elected to transfer to Wisconsin over the winter. During the Badgers’ spring practice period, he worked his way up to the starting unit and consistently displayed his tantalizing hands, catch radius and open field prowess. There are more experienced receivers on Wisconsin’s roster, but Williams figures to be too talented to keep on the bench for long. He’s in an offense that plays to his strengths very well, as new offensive coordinator Phil Longo is set to implement his spread, air-raid system that stretches defenses and gets the ball into playmakers’ hands in space. Williams should roll with the starters this fall, and should have plenty of opportunities to show what he can do in an offense that, at least on paper, looks to be one of the most potent in the conference.
