Wright compiled nine receptions (on 10 targets) for 99 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 28-20 loss to Coastal Carolina.
ANALYSIS
Wright led all Owls' receivers in receptions, targets and yards Saturday, and none of his teammates were even close. He also caught a two-yard touchdown in the third quarter. He has been excellent in his last two games -- with two different quarterbacks -- catching 20 passes (on 23 targets) for 200 yards and two touchdowns. With Temple expected to lose most of the rest of the season, Wright will have plenty of opportunities to accumulate receptions and yards.

Wright took a bit of a back seat to tight end and eventual second-round NFL draft pick Trey McBride, but it wasn't that long ago that Wright as a true freshman outproduced McBride in 2019. Wright has quietly been one of the nation's best receivers in general the last three years, and with McBride out of the way Wright could finish his college career with his best season yet.
