2024 Rush/Rec Projections
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Taylor was poised for a massive year in his freshman season and still was a dominant force on the ground through only six games as he battled with an injury. The 6-foot running back rushed 138 times for 799 yards and five touchdowns, paving the way for Jordan Nubin to get the primary workload when Taylor was injured. As long as Taylor can stay healthy in 2024, he should be poised for the lead role in the backfield and plenty of opportunities as the Gophers' passing game remains questionable, especially as transfer quarterback Max Brosmer, the frontrunner, has not played at the FBS level yet in his career. The rushing game should be relied on heavily, and Taylor is the key to getting yardage when completing passes may be a problem. Read Past Outlooks
Monster day in victory
Taylor notched 11 rushes for 124 yards and two touchdowns and reeled in all five targets for 37 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 27-0 win over Nevada.
ANALYSIS
Taylor hit a trifecta against the Wolfpack, scoring twice on the ground and once through the air as a receiver. The dynamic sophomore was efficient in his performance, averaging 11.3 YPC en route to a blowout win. Taylor's first score came on a 10-yard pass from quarterback Max Brosmer in the second quarter, which he followed up with a 4-yard run to end the first half. An explosive 80-yard scamper capped off the scoring on the day, stretching out the Minnesota lead to an insurmountable sum in the third quarter. Taylor will hope to build on his dynamic performance against Iowa on Saturday for the start of Big Ten conference play.
