Connors assumed the bulk of rushes in the 2023 season, finishing the year with 771 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on 121 totes. He posted 30 carries more than the team's second-leading rusher, Juma Otaviano, whose departure should open the door for Connors to increase his workload in 2024. Quiet versus Memphis
Connors totaled 14 rushes for 55 yards and reeled in 6 of 8 targets for 22 yards during Friday's 27-20 loss versus Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Connors had 20 touches Friday, his third straight game with 20 or more opportunities, but still had a fairly quiet day. He gained just 69 yards from scrimmage and was held out of the end zone for the fifth time in his last seven games. Although his usage, particularly in the passing game, has remained high throughout the season, his lack of consistent touchdowns has significantly hurt his upside this season. He should be able to bounce back after the bye as he faces a very favorable matchup at UAB in Week 13.
