Jimmy Holiday

Holiday has a nose for high-octane passing games. Prior to transferring to Western Kentucky heading into the 2023 season, he was with the Tennessee Volunteers. Josh Huepel’s offense never stopped churning and turned Hendon Hooker into a Heisman candidate. So why did Holiday transfer out? He couldn’t crack the Volunteers lineup, and thus he has dropped down from the SEC to Conference USA. Holiday at least had enough talent, and game-breaking ability, Tennessee had him return kicks. The Hilltoppers aren’t slouches when it comes to passing offense, though. Austin Reed led the FBS in passing yards in 2022, and he threw 40 touchdowns. There is a pretty clear role for Holiday to step into as well. Daewood Davis was the slot receiver for the Hilltoppers last year, and he finished with 63 catches for 872 yards and seven scores. He’s now gone pro, so could Holiday basically take over for Davis? If so, can he replicate those numbers? The potential is there. When SEC recruits come down to the Group of Five, it can often yield some big-time stats.
