One target in return
January 4, 2022
Ngata (foot) drew one target in Clemson's bowl game against Iowa State.
ANALYSIS
Ngata had been sidelined down the stretch of the regular season but got back on the field for the bowl. He played 30 snaps but only drew one target. Look for Ngata to be closer to full strength once Clemson starts spring practice.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
Ngata finished the 2021 season as the Tiger’s second leading receiver behind Justyn Ross who signed with the Kansas City Chiefs following this year’s draft. Ngata going into his senior season is the elder statesman in the talented Clemson wide receiver group. Ngata came into Clemson as a highly touted four-star prospect. Ngata battled through an abdominal injury his sophomore season that held him out of all but four games. Last season Ngata battled through a foot injury but, managed to appear in eight games and was productive when on the field. If Ngata can stay on the field, he is poised to be the top option in the Clemson passing game.
Ngata seemingly only needs to stay healthy to have his long awaited breakout season. A huge-bodied 6-foot-4, 220 pound former five-star recruit, Ngata was the talk of camp as a freshman but played sparingly behind Justyn Ross and Tee Higgins as a freshman before injuries limited him to only four games last season and a disappointing seven catches for 83 yards. Clemson must replace a ton from it’s passing game, losing their top three options, totaling 178 grabs, 2,490 yards and 16 TDs. The expectation is that Ross is cleared from spinal fusion surgery and returns as the team’s top option, putting Ngata’s opportunity a bit into question, as he’ll battle for looks with other big options like E.J. Williams and Frank Ladson. There’s no doubting the talent or potential, just the health and target share, making Ngata a potential boom or bust pick.
