Kyle Maxwell

In the unusual 2020 season, Maxwell made a little noise as a freshman by turning 11 catches into 112 yards and two touchdowns. When 2021 rolled around, though, he was not able to build upon that. Maxwell finished with only nine catches, though he turned those into 119 yards. This year, though, change is afoot in Ruston. Sonny Cumbie, a Mike Leach disciple, is now the team's head coach. The Bulldogs could be pass happy in 2022, and perhaps see a real boost in terms of offensive production if all goes well. Now, Maxwell has a long way to go, so don't go betting big on him just yet. He is somebody to keep an eye on, though, in case Cumbie takes a shine to him, and in case the new offense yields a larger role for the young receiver.
