Productive in Saturday's win
Wright notched 15 carries for 105 yards and one touchdown and hauled in all three targets for 11 yards during Saturday's 49-24 victory against Southern Miss.
ANALYSIS
Wright was one of three productive Bulls' running backs Saturday and led the backfield with 15 carries. He was out rushed by Kelley Joiner, but he still got over 100 rushing yards and scored his second touchdown of the season. He also caught three passes for the second straight game. While the Bulls clearly are sporting a committee in the backfield, Wright has been receiving enough work to still produce in spite of that.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Both Dameon Pierce and Malik Davis went to the NFL, but Wright will not simply be handed the starting running back job for the Gators in 2022. Montrell Johnson transferred from Louisiana and will be reunited with former coach Billy Napier. Johnson rushed for 838 yards and 12 touchdowns as a freshman with the Ragin’ Cajuns. Johnson averaged 5.2 yards pe tote. Meanwhile, Wright saw more limited action last season at Florida, averaging 4.3 yards per carry en route to 326 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Wright appears to be the better receiver of the two, though, as Wright snagged 14 passes for 178 yards and an additional touchdown out of the backfield. As a result, Johnson could be used as the early-down and goal-line back, with the smaller Wright coming in as a change-of-pace or on passing downs.
