2024 Fantasy Outlook
Fifita and wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan were arguably the most lethal passing combination in all of college football last season. Fifita threw for 2,869 yards and 25 touchdowns versus just six interceptions as Arizona was one of the most surprising teams in the country. This will be a year of change as the Wildcats join a new-look Big 12 conference, and they welcome in new coach Brent Brennan from San Jose State following Jedd Fisch's departure for Washington. Despite the regime change, Fifita, McMillan and many of the offensive weapons remain in Tucson. The sophomore quarterback wasn't on the preseason fantasy radar last year but certainly made a name for himself heading into 2024. Read Past Outlooks
Tosses two touchdowns to end skid
Fifita completed 20 of 35 passes for 224 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Friday's 27-3 win versus Houston. He also had 11 rushes for negative nine yards.
ANALYSIS
Fifita and his offense didn't need to do much, as Arizona's defense did a number on the Cougars to deliver the victory. During the five-game losing streak, Fifita lacked the consistency that was a hallmark of his game last season, but Saturday's win served as a nice bounce-back for the sophomore.
