Scores his first TD of 2024
Whittington totaled seven carries for 64 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 49-14 win against Oregon State.
ANALYSIS
Whittington enjoyed easily his most productive outing of the season, highlight by a 27-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. The 5-foot-8 senior was held back by Oregon's subpar run-blocking in Weeks 1 and 2, though these issues appeared to resolve themselves against the in-state rival Beavers. Whittington's still in the No. 2 running back role behind Jordan James, who logged 12 carries for 86 yards and two touchdowns on Saturday. Meanwhile, backups Jay Harris and Jayden Limar combined for five rushing attempts. Whittington's production as RB2 could improve significantly if the Ducks' rushing offense continues to improve moving forward. They'll have a bye week before travelling to UCLA on Saturday, Sept. 28.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Whitington transferred from Western Kentucky and contributed for the Ducks right away, serving a change-of-pace back behind Bucky Irving. He rushed for 779 yards and five touchdowns but made a very strong impact as a passing option out of the backfield, catching 22 passes for 169 yards. Whittington and Irving will probably share the same load this season, but the team will ride with the hot hand often.
