Two teams sitting on extreme opposites of the standings will collide in this matchup, as the Guardians aim to leave last place and, in order to accomplish that, they need to win against a Brothers team that continues to fight for first place against the Rakuten Monkeys. The recent form of both teams has been opposite as well – the Guardians have gone 2-3, while the Brothers have won three of their last five. Two of the most consistent pitchers in the league will go head-to-head in this contest, as the Guardians will send their workhorse Henry Sosa, and the Brothers will counter with Mitch Lively. Both players have posted ERAs of under 5.00, which is really solid for the CPBL standards, but there are some things to note regarding both guys. While Sosa has thrown 100+ pitches in his last three outings, which could lead to some fatigue, Lively is yet to lose a game he's started in 2020.

Chou Szu-Chi, Brothers: Chou only recorded one hit during Thursday's win over the Lions, but he still produced a solid fantasy performance with two RBI, two runs scored and two walks. He is clearly benefiting from the fact he hits right after Chang Chih-Hao, one of the most dangerous bats in the CPBL.

Mitch Lively, Brothers: Lively is yet to lose a game this season and represents the best pitching matchup ahead of this contest. That's not a knock on Sosa, but the Guardians hurler has thrown 100+ pitches in three straight outings. That could lead to some fatigue and, if that's the case, then it would be dangerous against a strong lineup such as the Brothers' one.

Kao Kuo-Hui, Guardians: Kao is one of the best value options in this slate, as he is cheap enough to stack regardless if you want a Guardians-based or a Brothers-based lineup. He is performing at a high level as well, as he is hitting .349 – the best mark since his rookie year – with five home runs and a stellar .391 on-base percentage.
