DraftKings LoL: Monday LPL Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings League of Legends series.

GAMES (EDT)

  • 5:00 a.m: Victory Five vs. Vici Gaming
  • 7:00 a.m: eStar vs. Royal Never Give Up

VG vs. V5

I thought VG were going to be better coming into the split, especially by adding Leyan,s who played for one of the best team in the LPL. Leyan finally gets the start and it will be interesting to see how he jungles, as he wasn't that viable for IG. I believe the play-style that Leyan wants to play will work with VG since he loves to roam bot side. VG are at the bottom in every category and KKoma seems like he doesn't have a good grasp on how this meta is supposed to be played. Meanwhile, V5 have made some mistakes in a few of their games, but the one thing they do best is they are decisive in everything they do. They like to push the tempo, and even when things are failing, they will take that five percent chance to swing the game around. V5 are in the top half in a lot of the objective categories, and this is a case of a team that has looked good since the start.

Prediction: V5 2-1

V5 Players to Target: SamD ($6,800), Ppgod ($5,200)

RNG vs. ES

This game is really close, as eStar have a lead every category over RNG other than the Baron control, which they hold a 64 percent control rate. Neither have played anyone good, and while RNG looked solid against JDG, the latter

RNG vs. ES

This game is really close, as eStar have a lead every category over RNG other than the Baron control, which they hold a 64 percent control rate. Neither have played anyone good, and while RNG looked solid against JDG, the latter had a weird draft that put them behind. eStar lost a tough game against LGD, who in my eyes are the second-best team in the league and then dropped a game to BLG due to Wei taking the wrong spell. eStars are really good at team fighting and forcing other teams to come and fight them. FenFen and Wink's champion pool is really good for this meta, and they have all the tools to set them up for success as long as they can mitigate Xiaohu and Betty. Both Xiaohu and Betty are really good in lane, as they don't get get caught out in the farming phase of the game so they are hard to gank. RNG needs XLB to be on his A-game and have good setups if they want to beat a good team-fighting team like eStar.

Prediction: ES 2-1

ES Players to Target: Everyone

RNG Players to Target: Betty ($7,800), Xiaohu ($7600)
