DraftKings LoL: Tuesday LPL Cheat Sheet

DraftKings LoL: Tuesday LPL Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings League of Legends series.

Games (EDT)

  • 5:00 a.m: Vici Gaming vs. Rogue Warriors
  • 7:00 a.m: Suning vs. eStar

RW vs. VG

We get two games that should see some competitiveness based on how these teams have looked. Starting off is a struggling team against one that picked up a couple wins in their last few series. Both teams are close to last in the league in every major statistical category, with Rogue Warriors looking like the worst of the bunch. VG found ways in their last two games to get wins from their opponents getting caught out in crucial team fights, which was enough for VG to snowball them. VG early game has not looked good, but the one thing Rogue Warriors is good at is their early game. Rogue Warriors are finally running out a lineup that they played the last three games, which is a sigh of relief because this is a team that loves to do lineup experimentation. These are the players who should have played every single game because when these guys are in, they are good at team fighting, early game rotations and forcing other teams to make mistakes, which is a stylistic nightmare for VG. If they had used this roster the entire split, they could have beaten a lot of teams. This is a good sign from the Rogue Warriors organization to pull this move to get some wins back on the board.

Prediction: RW 2-1

  • RW Players to Target: Zwuji ($7200), Ley ($5000)

ES vs. SN

ES vs. SN

This is another tough series to gauge because eStar have looked mediocre all year long. Their numbers are skewed compared to how bad they have been playing, and this is a team that has showed little growth since last split. This is a one dimensional team that tries to play through bot side for dragons, but it has not worked because other teams have been forcing the fights. Many times when this happens, eStar over-commit to an objective or fight and they get wiped out. On the other hand, SN have been consistent all year long, only dropping games to the top teams other than LGD and WE. SN was a one-directional team that plays through bot alone but their top side is very strong in the late games. Bin, SofM and Angel all are having great performances, relieving a lot of pressure from Huanfeng, who they prefer to play around. This is a bad matchup for eStar because of SN's jungle control of 54 percent, which is 11 percentage points higher than eStar in a meta that makes the Jungle very important. Another issue is that eStar have no intention of changing their play-style and are playing into the strength of SN.  Huanfeng and SwordArt are a top-five duo bot lane in the league and have better KP% and DPM than Wink and ShiauC. If eStar can't figure out another way to play the game, this should be a stomp.

Prediction: SN 2-1

  • SN Players to Target: Everyone on SN
