LNG vs. LGD

We have the August LPL games, when most of the underdogs have been winning, and the trend can still continue even though LGD are in a prime spot to win and lock a solid playoff seed. LGD looked a bit shaky against BLG, but they came back in Game 3 and played clean League of Legends. LNG beat RW their last game, and it wasn't too impressive, as RW really handed them the game, which is typical of them. This is going to be the slowest game on the slate, as LGD are second in the league in average game time (34 minutes)a and LNG are not too far behind. Additionally, both teams combined kills per minutes are bottom of the LPL at 0.71 and 0.72, respectively, as they would like to play more of a slow macro game. Peanut and xiye are playing really well together and this meta for LGD serves well for both teams, and while sometimes their bot lane ends up losing hard, LNG's bot side is nothing to fear.

Prediction: LGD 2-0

ES vs. TES

A wild game for TES to drop against RNG, which pushed them down to third place in the LPL, and the next two series will mean a lot because if, somehow, IG and JDG lose out then they can take the first seed again. I am going to keep this simple: TES are still one of the better teams in the world and need to focus on their early game to beat some of the other top teams. TES have been playing from behind and cut the gold deficit through macro and team fights around objectives, while eStar have given up this last half of the split. eStar's dragon rate and tower rate are near the bottom of the LPL, and usually they are one of the best teams when it comes to macro even when they are losing. There is a huge indication that this team just packed it up after having a horrible season. They do like to skirmish a lot, and I would like every piece of TES I can fit in my lineup.

Prediction: TES 2-0

  • TES Players to Target: Everyone
