Begarin held down a regular role for Nanterre of the French league last season despite being just 21 years old, and that helped him earn his first contract with a EuroLeague club. Monaco will not be short on backcourt options, but Begarin brings good size to the table and was a second-round pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, so he will immediately have a chance to secure a rotation spot.
