Another week of exciting matchups is in the books. Josh Reynolds ate Orlando Scandrick's lunch, Anthony Miller scored on Mackensie Alexander, Julio Jones got free against Byron Jones more than anyone else has this season, and T.Y. Hilton absolutely destroyed Malcolm Butler and the Titans.
Let's get to more exciting (good and bad) matchups for Week 12:
Snead is graded as having one of the biggest advantages over his cover corner on the whole slate per Pro Football Focus. Snead has lead the Ravens in targets in several games this season and it should be interesting to see just how much Lamar Jackson chooses to throw the ball, given that he had 27 rushing attempts last week. Nelson has allowed a 60 percent conversion rate in coverage this season, a number which could get worse against Snead's high-percentage routes.
Larry Fitzgerald vs. Desmond King
As Fitz continues to age, it is easier for opposing teams to stick just one defensive player on him in coverage and change the way that he is used. King is one of the best cover corners in the AFC and has a 90.6 grade overall from PFF, which is one of the highest in the league for defensive backs. King has allowed only 0.22 fantasy points per route run against; it could be tough sledding for Fitz this week.

The reason that this matchup is interesting is that I am curious to see who Bill Belichick thinks the best wide receiver for the Jets is. PFF has Enunwa projected to get the shadow matchup from Gilmore, but I am not so sure. It's possible that he shadows Robby Anderson or even Jermaine Kearse, depending on who the Patriots believe is the most impactful pass catcher for the Jets.
Mike Evans vs. Richard Sherman
Sherman is having a legit renaissance as a shutdown corner this season. He has allowed only 0.13 fantasy points per route run against and truthfully, teams just have not thrown in his direction. I am very interested to see what Evans does when in his coverage, because he has such a physical advantage on Sherman that it should theoretically create some space even though Evans is not fast enough to get past Sherman on every snap. This will be one of the toughest contended matchups of the week.
D.J. Moore vs. Seattle CBs
The whole group of Seattle cornerbacks have been so poor this year that I am very excited to see how Moore does against them. Both Tre Flowers and Shaquill Griffin allow over 0.35 fantasy points per route run against, and Moore is coming off the best game of his young career. The rookie should be the focal point of the Panthers offense this weekend with Devin Funchess likely not playing and it is a good spot for him.
