Welcome to the Weekly Value Meter Rankings. This is a guide to help you decide who to start and sit in a given week. It's is not a season-long ranking nor a draft guide, and it's also not really intended as a free agent guide. While I appreciate that you want my opinion on pickups, every league is different, and your decision on whether to add/drop a particular player might also be dictated by other factors than who is rated higher in a given week.

Here are my operating assumptions for the rankings:

- The RB/WR/TE position rankings are for PPR leagues.
- The Flex rankings are for Standard leagues.
- 1 point per 10 rushing/receiving yards.
- 1 point per 20 passing yards.
- 4 points per passing touchdowns.

These are the rankings I use when I make my start/sit decisions. Please consult the rankings first before asking "Should I start Patrick Mahomes or Bryce Young?"

Lawrence managed a limited practice Thursday and improbably has a chance to play on Sunday. The Jaguars are planning on Lawrence starting, pending on how he does in pregame warmups.*
25.	Joe Flacco CLE vs. JAX Note: By rule, Flacco reverted back to the practice squad on Monday, but he's likely in line to start again this week against Jacksonville. The Browns activated Flacco again from the practice squad but didn't officially announce him as the starter. Teammate Dorian Thompson-Robinson has cleared concussion protocol.*
26.	Zach Wilson NYJ vs. HOU Note: The Jets might go back to Wilson this week, after releasing Tim Boyle. Wilson has officially been named the starter.*

Beathard has cleared the injury list, yet it looks now that Trevor Lawrence will be able to play.*
32.	Geno Smith SEA at SF Note: Smith tweaked his groin in practice and is now a game-time decision. It has been described by ESPN's Adam Schefter as a two-week injury.*
33.	Jameis Winston NO vs. CAR Note: Winston was really errant in his brief stint against the Lions last week - twice he missed an open Chris Olave on the Saints' final drive. Derek Carr is going to play after all.*
34.	Taysom Hill NO vs. CAR Note: This week I'd rank Hill seventh at TE, just ahead of Jake Ferguson. Hill (foot/hand) has missed the first two practices this week. As a consequence, I'd drop him down to 10th among tight ends right now, and possibly lower pending what he does on Friday. Hill missed practice Friday and is not expected to play.*
35.	*Trevor Siemian NYJ vs. HOU Note: Turning to Siemian instead of Tim Boyle was a natural selection for the Jets, though the situation didn't evolve as they had hoped.
