2024 Fantasy Outlook
A former professional soccer player and software engineer, Aubrey began training for football in 2019 and played in the USFL in 2022 and 2023 before landing with the Cowboys last summer. His first NFL season couldn't have gone much better, as Aubrey led the league in field goals (36), ranked third in FG percentage (94.7) and tied for fourth in PATs (49 on 52 tries). Aubrey went 10-of-10 from 50-plus yards en route to scoring 27 more fantasy points than any other kicker, with the gap between him and second place (Cairo Santos, Matt Gay - 150 points) being larger than the gap between those guys and 22nd-place Matt Prater (124). It'll be hard to match that level of opportunity even if the Cowboys have a prolific offense again, but Aubrey should nonetheless be one of the first kickers drafted given his 2023 success and solid team context. Limited to four points in Week 11
Aubrey knocked down his lone extra-point attempt and connected on a 53-yard field goal while missing a 40-yard try in Monday's 34-10 loss to the Texans.
ANALYSIS
While Aubrey came away with his 10th field goal of 50-plus yards of the season in the loss, he nearly came away with the third 60-plus-yard field goal of his career late in the third quarter. On 4th-and-20, Aubrey converted a 64-yard attempt right down the middle with plenty of room to spare, but a Texans unnecessary roughness penalty took the points off the board while Dallas instead accepted an automatic first down. The wiped-out field goal along with a missed attempt in the second quarter that clanked off the right upright thus limited Aubrey to a season-low four points on the night.

At 6-4 the Texans might need to fully unleash Nico Collins in his first game back, because they can't afford to take a fifth loss at the hands of Dallas.
2023 Fantasy Outlook
Aubrey made 14 of 15 field-goal attempts in the USFL last season, which earned him an opportunity to kick for the Cowboys this summer. He was competing with Tristan Vizcaino at the beginning of training camp, but with Vizcaino released in early August it appears Aubrey may end up handling the kicking job for a team with one of the better offenses in the league on-paper. While the lack of NFL experience means he's far from a sure thing, Aubrey could end up having fantasy value this year.

Expected to kick despite jury duty
Aubrey has been selected to be part of a 12-person jury for a felony assault case in Tarrant County, Texas, but Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that the Cowboys expect the judge overseeing the assault case to accommodate the kicker's schedule, which will allow Aubrey to play Sunday against the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Aubrey declined the team's offer to provide him an exemption from jury duty, but he doesn't plan to miss game action as a result of this commitment. He didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, but Aubrey's availability Sunday doesn't appear to be in jeopardy, and the judge in the case may even allow Aubrey to practice Friday as part of the kicker's schedule-related accommodations.
