Conner played in all 17 regular-season games for the Chiefs as a rookie in 2023, though he logged more snaps on special teams (329) than on defense (292). His playing time on defense increased late in the campaign and into the postseason, however, and Conner's best game came in Kansas City's AFC Divisional Round playoff win against Buffalo, when he played every defensive snap and logged a season-high 10 tackles in addition to forcing a fumble. With his day now done, the second-year cornerback will finish the 2024 regular season with 77 tackles, including 1.0 sacks, along with four pass defenses (including two interceptions) and a fumble-recovery touchdown. The Chiefs have wrapped up a first-round playoff bye, so Conner will have an extra week to try to recover from the shoulder injury in time for Kansas City's next game, which will come in the AFC divisional round.
