2024 Fantasy Outlook
While he hasn't quite matched the heights of his fantastic 2021 rookie season and subsequent playoff run, McPherson re-established himself as one of the league's best kickers in 2023 by making all of his kicks inside 50 yards (including PATs) and going 7-for-12 from 50-plus. His career FG percentage (83.9) looks mediocre, but it's actually quite good once you realize he's attempted 58 field goals of 40-plus yards (including 28 of 50-plus) and only 35 of less than 40. He's also gone 19-for-19 in the playoffs, albeit with 14 of those coming inside the 40-yard range. McPherson has yet to finish higher than eighth among kickers in fantasy scoring, but it's probably just a matter of time given his real-life success and the talent Cincinnati has on offense. Misses key point-after try
McPherson made all four field-goal attempts but missed one of two extra-point tries in Sunday's 26-25 loss to the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
McPherson connected from 22, 33 and 48 yards out before hitting a 53-yard field goal to give the Bengals a 25-23 lead in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately for the Florida product, he was wide right on a PAT following an Andrei Iosivas touchdown catch late in the third quarter, which ultimately ended up being the difference in the score.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
2021
While his second pro season wasn't quite as good as his first, McPherson did more than enough to reprove himself as one of the league's top kickers. He went 9-for-14 from 40-49 yards and 5-for-5 from 50-plus, also ranking T-6th in PAT attempts (44) and seventh in PAT conversions (40). If anyone is to challenge Justin Tucker for the fantasy kicking throne, it'll likely be the 2021 fifth-round pick within his own division. McPherson hasn't been quite as reliable as Tucker from in close but has a sterling record from beyond 50 yards (14 of 16) and is attached to a more reliable offense in Cincinnati.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Gets deal from Bengals
McPherson signed a three-year, $16.5 million extension with the Bengals on Friday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The talented placekicker was entering the final year of his rookie contract, so the extension isn't surprising given McPherson has largely delivered after being selected in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Although McPherson has struggled at times with accuracy, he hit winning field goals in multiple playoff games as a rookie, and his 21 made field goals of 50 or more yards since he entered the league are tied for most in that span.
