The DP World Tour announced that Penge has been suspended for three months for betting on golf following a review by an Independent Disciplinary Panel.

ANALYSIS
Penge placed bets on multiple golf events over the last two years, which was a breach in the PGA European Tour's Integrity Program. Penge did not bet on himself in any events, which led the panel to find that the integrity of such events had not been compromised. That was also a reason why he was only suspended for three months and fined a moderate amount. Penge put out a statement on X shortly after the ruling came down saying that he "genuinely thought it was ok to bet on golf as long as it wasn't on myself or tournaments I was competing in." Safe to say the Englishman now understands the program and will hopefully not make the same mistake again. Penge will be eligible to return to competition on the DP World Tour on Feb. 13, with the first event available to him being the Magical Kenya Open on Feb. 20-23. The 26-year-old finished 80th in the final Race to Dubai standings last season.
