A heaping 11-game slate provides plenty of opportunities for daily fantasy success. Here are some of the select values to choose from Tuesday.
Goalie
Cam Talbot, EDM @ CAR ($28)
Talbot has been hot as can be of late, stringing together wins in four of his last five starts while compiling a .954 save percentage and 1.58 GAA over that span. It can be difficult to trust a previously mediocre goaltender when he gets hot, but Tuesday's matchup offers Talbot the 26th-ranked scoring offense in Carolina and a daily price that makes him relatively low risk even considering the circumstances.
Goalie to Avoid
Kari Lehtonen, DAL @ WAS ($33)
Lehtonen has been called upon several times to be Dallas' starter this season with Ben Bishop (lower body) ailing, but at no point has the Finn shown any overwhelming evidence that suggests he should be treated as a top-tier starter, even though his Tuesday price would suggest otherwise. Besides losing four straight starts with poor metrics, the 34-year-old isn't getting proper goal support either, as the Stars have recorded just 2.30 goals per game in March.

Center
Vincent Trocheck, FLA @ OTT ($22)
The Panthers boast two of the league's most offensively dynamic centers in Trocheck and Aleksander Barkov, but you should lean towards the former Tuesday considering he'll give you similar output for less coin. Prior to being held off the scoresheet Monday night, the Pittsburgh native strung together a six-game point streak that saw him record four goals and nine points overall. Look for him to bounce back against an Ottawa squad that allows 3.00 points per game to centers.
Center to Avoid
Mark Scheifele, WPG vs. LA ($27)
Schiefele has been impressive when healthy this season, but his game can be markedly inconsistent -- the 25-year-old has recorded points in just half of his last six games, while posting a poor minus-5 rating over that span. It won't help that he'll be in just his second game back from injury and will face a Kings team that is very tough on centers and has not allowed a point to Scheifele in two games this season.
Wings
Gabriel Landeskog, COL @ CHI ($20)
Landeskog has come on very strong down the stretch, compiling seven points, nine shots on goal, and a plus-8 rating in the last three contests. The Swedish winger's continued presence with the first power-play unit will surely help him against a Chicago penalty kill that has played poorly in the last month, including when it allowed an assist with the man advantage to Landeskog on March 6.
Ty Rattie, EDM @ CAR ($14)
For a highly economical pick, let's take a look at a waiver wire stalwart that has started to turn heads. Rattie has very much enjoyed the perks of skating with Connor McDavid at even strength, racking up three points and nine shots on goal in just the last two games. This pick will hinge on Rattie's continued position on McDavid's line, but assuming that's the case, he's an excellent value considering he also sees power play minutes.

Wings to Avoid
Artemi Panarin, CLS @ NYR ($24)
In his first season with the Blue Jackets, Panarin is on pace for the lowest goal total of his career, though he has certainly picked it up in the assist column down the stretch. Still, it's not encouraging that the young Russian can't find twine on a consistent basis, especially considering the price you'd be paying to get him Tuesday. Additionally, Rangers' starter Henrik Lundqvist has posted a solid .936 save percentage in three games against Columbus this season.
Mike Hoffman, OTT vs. FLA ($19)
Hoffman has been one of the bright spots on an otherwise dismal Senators team this season, but even his recent successes might not be enough to save him from this surging Florida squad. With Roberto Luongo back in the fold and playing well, the Panthers have been conceding fewer goals even when he doesn't start, allowing just 2.33 per game thus far in March. Additionally, their potency on the offensive end could give Hoffman's already troubling plus-minus more problems.
Defensemen
Kris Letang, PIT @ NYI ($22)
When choosing an elite defenseman for a daily fantasy slate, it's nice when you can find one showing consistency on the offensive end. That's what you'll get here with Letang, as the veteran blueliner has fired two shots or more in each of the last six games, adding five points and nine blocked shots over that span as well. The fact that the Islanders are allowing a league-high 2.64 points per game to defensemen is a nice perk too.
Colin Miller, VGK vs. VAN ($15)
Miller is developing into the type of two-way defenseman the Golden Knights were likely envisioning when they selected him in the Expansion Draft, as he has now well surpassed his previous career highs in goals and assists and has come on strong lately -- in the last three games, the 25-year-old has posted four points, including a goal and an assist with the man advantage. That last bit is particularly important going up against Vancouver's 25th-ranked penalty kill.
Defensemen to Avoid
John Klingberg, DAL @ WAS ($24)
Klingberg's goal drought has now extended out to 17 games, over which time the d-man has accumulated just seven assists and a minus-11 rating. The defensemen in and around the Swede's pricing tier are much more reliable offensive contributors and also aren't as likely to get burned on the defensive end, which is why you especially should not trust him when he and his slumping team face the offensively potent Capitals on Tuesday.
Duncan Keith, CHI vs. COL ($19)
Speaking of defensemen who rarely score, Keith has just one goal this campaign and it came 16 games ago back on Feb. 15. Since then, the 34-year-old has just five assists and a minus-7 rating, though he does show a healthy 36 blocked shots over that period as well. Shot blocking has been the strongest aspect of Keith's game this season, but it will likely be mitigated Tuesday by Colorado's low rate of shooting.
