Buffalo Sabres
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Quinn's 2023-24 season was interrupted by a pair of injuries. He appeared in just 27 games, but was decently productive when healthy, managing nine goals and 19 points. Quinn finished the season on a high note, posting seven points in his final seven appearances. Likely locked into a second-line role for the club, in addition to receiving some power-play time, Quinn is a sneaky late-round fantasy pick in deeper leagues this coming season. This is a player who had 37 points in 75 games as a 21-year-old rookie just two years ago and is still capable of producing at that level. Read Past Outlooks

Two helpers in victory
CBuffalo Sabres
April 16, 2024
Quinn notched a pair of assists in Monday's 4-2 win over the Lightning.
ANALYSIS
Quinn set up Dylan Cozens' opening goal early in the first period before adding a second helper on Zach Benson's tally in the third. While injuries limited the 22-year-old Quinn to just 27 games this year, he finished strong with seven points (four goals, three assists) in his last seven contests. He'll wrap up his sophomore campaign with nine goals and 19 points.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
Quinn notched 14 goals and 37 points in 75 contests during his 2022-23 rookie campaign. The bulk of his production came over two scoring spurts, including a 17-point stretch from Oct. 27-Dec. 13 and another 17-point performance from Feb. 15-Apr. 10. Quinn spent most of the year alongside Dylan Cozens, who enjoyed a breakout 68-point effort. For Quinn to follow in the footsteps of Cozens in 2023-24, he will need to be much more consistent. Quinn displayed plenty of upside last campaign and could operate at a 50-point pace in his sophomore season. Unfortunately, he is slated to miss at least a month to begin the season following offseason Achilles surgery.
The No. 8 overall pick in the 2020 draft, Quinn was named AHL Rookie of the Year a season ago despite playing the entire campaign at age 20. He posted 26 goals and 61 points in 45 games for AHL Rochester, while also picking up a goal and an assist in a brief two-game stint with the Sabres. Quinn lacks ideal speed for the NHL level, but his offensive awareness is exceptional and his shot is high end. There's easy top-six potential here, perhaps as soon as this coming season. Quinn is an excellent keeper/dynasty prospect.

Expected to be recalled Saturday
CBuffalo Sabres
January 12, 2023
Quinn is expected to be recalled from AHL Rochester on Saturday, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.
ANALYSIS
Quinn was reassigned to the AHL on Thursday, but it appears it may be just a paper move as the Sabres wanted to recall netminder Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to start Thursday versus Winnipeg. Quinn has not had a point in his last nine games and was a healthy scratch Tuesday.
