Tsyplakov signed a one-year, entry-level contract with the Islanders in May following a breakout season with Spartak Moscow of the KHL. The 25-year-old winger racked up 31 goals and 47 points in 65 regular-season contests before adding two goals and two assists in 11 playoff outings. Tsyplakov will get every opportunity to land a middle-six role with the Islanders out of training camp. He has plenty of sleeper value if he meshes well alongside Brock Nelson and Kyle Palmieri, who were both productive players last season.
