Ratzlaff might be moving in the direction of signing an entry-level contract after joining the Sabres' AHL affiliate in Rochester on Wednesday via an amateur tryout agreement.

Ratzlaff was selected by Buffalo with the 141st overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. The 19-year-old posted a 3.33 GAA and a .905 save percentage in 52 contests with WHL Seattle this season. Although Ratzlaff is likely a long way from playing in the NHL, getting some experience in Rochester would be beneficial for his development.
