2024 Fantasy Outlook
Raddysh had a mini-breakout two seasons ago, posting a surprising 20 goals and 37 points in 78 games. Those numbers came crashing down to earth last season, as he managed just five goals and 14 points in 73 games. The Blackhawks neglected to present Raddysh with a qualifying offer and he had to settle for a one year, $1 million contract with the Capitals in free agency. Raddysh is far from a guarantee to earn a full-time role next season and could easily find himself back in the minors to begin the year. Read Past Outlooks

Raddysh signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Capitals on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Raddysh became an unrestricted free agent after the Blackhawks declined to present him with a qualifying offer. The 26-year-old had five goals and 14 points across 73 contests with Chicago last season. Raddysh did have 20 goals and 37 points in 2022-23, so perhaps he can rekindle his scoring touch in his new home. At the same time, he'll likely have to battle to earn even a bottom-six spot.

Raddysh was about the lone bright spot for the Blackhawks a season ago in what was an otherwise dismal year. The former OHL scoring star potted 20 goals and finished with a career-high 37 points, including 15 with the man advantage, in 78 games. Raddysh's 15.5 shooting percentage suggests regression will likely be forthcoming in 2023-24, but he could still make for a sneaky deep-league option if he is able to secure a slot alongside 2023 No. 1 overall pick Connor Bedard. Monitor Raddysh's role in training camp.
Raddysh never found his way in a loaded Tampa Bay organization, ultimately getting flipped to Chicago in the deal which sent Brandon Hagel to the Lightning this past March. Raddysh was better with his new club, managing six goals and 10 points in 21 games. Raddysh played with both Alex DeBrincat and Dylan Strome in their OHL days in Erie, but both of those players have moved on, leaving Raddysh battling for playing time on a team with zero aspirations of competing for a playoff spot. Raddysh is worth keeping an eye on early in the year, but that's about it.
Raddysh delivered a respectable 46 points, including 28 assists, in 70 games as an AHL rookie in 2018-19. That's a solid total for the big, playmaking winger who is still trying to shake off suggestions that his impressive junior results were propped up by superior linemates. Raddysh is indeed a talent -- he has excellent vision and should be a middle-six man in Tampa for a long time. He'll likely play another full season in the AHL, but given the Bolts' cap crunch, there's a chance Raddysh will be advanced to the big club to provide some cap relief in 2019-20. His fantasy time will come, but it might be a couple years off.
