Will take on Landwehr
Hubbard will fight Nate Landwehr in a lightweight bout at UFC 307 on Oct. 5, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Landwehr has spent most of his career fighting in the featherweight division, but he'll jump to lightweight to take on Hubbard, who defeated Michal Figlak via unanimous decision in his most recent fight on April 27. However, his recent record isn't inspiring, and he has lost three of his last five fights overall.

Takes decision in Vegas
Hubbard defeated Michal Figlak via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC on ESPN 55 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Whether or not Hubbard deserved to win is another story entirely, but he's the one leaving the Apex with his hand raised. Numbers wise, this fight couldn't have been any closer. Hubbard landed 99-of-220 total strikes, while Figlak was at 100-of-218. The former also connected on the only three takedowns of the bout. It sure felt watching it live that Figlak controlled the pace of the fight and was responsible for the more damaging blows, but the judges disagreed. Hubbard has his first win in his second stint with the company. He returned last August was submitted by Kurt Holobaugh in The Ultimate Fighter 31 finale.

Added to April 27 card
Hubbard will take on Michal Figlak (knee) in a lightweight matchup at the UFC event scheduled for April 27, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Hubbard has lost back-to-back fights and three of his last four overall, with two of those defeats coming by way of submission, including his most recent to Kurt Holobaugh last August. He'll now take on Figlak, who suffered his first professional loss via unanimous decision to Fares Ziam in September. Physically, both men match up nearly identical in terms of height and reach, but Figlak is more than three years younger.

Loses in TUF Season 31 finale
Hubbard lost to Kurt Holobaugh via submission (triangle choke) at 2:39 of Round 2 at UFC 292 on Saturday in Boston.
ANALYSIS
After coming up short, Hubbard will watch his Team Chandler teammate ultimately go on to win the UFC contracted awarded at the conclusion of season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter. Hubbard actually started this one relatively well, landing 31 significant strikes and two takedowns in the opening frame. Things were a bit more lopsided in Round 2, however, as Holobaugh let his hands go more and Hubbard ate a right hand that left him compromised. Instinct carried things to the mat and even saw Hubbard in top position, but Holobaugh threw up a triangle from his back that closed the show. Hubbard is clearly UFC-caliber with multiple wins with the company during his last stint, but it may be back to the regional circuit for the time being.
