Jacoby will be in desperate need of a victory in Tampa. He's lost four of his last five fights, including his past two in a row. Most recently, he fell at the hands of Dominick Reyes in the first round of a fight back in June. His opponent Petrino is also coming off a loss, so both fighters will be hungry to get back in the win column.

Jacoby lost to Dominick Reyes via KO (punches) at 2:00 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky.
ANALYSIS
It goes without saying that Jacoby losing to a guy that hadn't won a fight since October 2019 isn't a great look. It becomes an even worse look when you take into account he was a -250 favorite. Dustin landed one big leg kick that seemed to bother Reyes, but other than that, he wasn't able to close the distance between the two. He eventually ate a flurry of strikes, including one huge punch which appear to knock him out cold while still standing. It's all fallen apart on Jacoby in the last 18 months or so. He's 1-4 in his past five fights during that span. Having turned 36 years of age this past April, Jacoby's roster spot may be in jeopardy.

While Reyes has the height and reach advantages on paper, Jacoby has the edge in terms of volume striking in a matchup that's expected to primarily be contested on the feet.

The 35-year-old is 1-3 in his past four fights dating back to October 2022 and appears to be just about out of time in terms of making a legitimate push up the rankings at 205 pounds.
