Won't fight Murzakanov
Krylov will no longer fight Azamat Murzakanov (undisclosed) at UFC 309 on Nov. 16, Nolan King of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
An unspecified issue caused Murzakanov to withdraw from the fight, and it appears unlikely that a replacement fighter will be found in time to face Krylov, per King. As a result, Krylov will have to wait a bit longer before potentially extending his winning streak to four.

Murzakanov up next
Krylov is scheduled to compete against fellow light heavyweight Azamat Murzakanov at UFC 309 in New York City on Nov. 16, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
This will be Krylov's first fight scheduled since 2023, when he defeated Ryan Spann. The Spann win was Krylov's third straight victory after defeats over former UFC Light Heavyweight Championship challengers Alexander Gustafsson and Volkan Oezdemir.

Scores another submission win
Krylov defeated Ryan Spann via submission (triangle choke) at 3:38 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It took a couple weeks longer than he originally hoped, but Krylov emerged with the victory over Spann he was seeking. One of the best and most creative mat specialists in the light heavyweight division, Krylov received a late birthday (he turned 31 four days ago) present from his opponent. With Nikita down on the mat, Spann jumped on top in hopes of inflicting some ground-and-pound, only to leave his neck exposed in the process. Krylov responded with the triangle choke that closed the show. Nikita may not be on the same level as the top guys at 205 pounds, but he's not far off. He's won three in a row on the heels of back-to-back defeats.

Fight cancelled
Krylov (illness) is unable to fight in Saturday's UFC main event against Ryan Spann, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Krylov was set to fight in the light heavyweight main event, but Andre Muniz and Brendan Allen will now take center stage instead. It's unclear if Krylov's bout will be rescheduled.

Slated to fight Spann
Krylov will face Ryan Spann in a light heavyweight main even at UFC Fight Night on Feb. 25, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Krylov has won back-to-back fights, most recently defeating Volkan Oezdemir via unanimous decision at UFC 280 in late October. He'll face another tough opponent in Spann, who is 21-7-0 as a professional and most recently defeated Dominick Reyes via KO (punch) at UFC 281 on Nov. 12. Spann has advantages in both height and reach.
